Gwen Stefani Is 'Really Excited' About Her Life Right Now: 'I'm In a Really Good Place!'

After going through a difficult split from her ex Gavin Rossdale this year, Gwen Stefani is back on top with new music, a new season of The Voice and a new guy in her life.

“I think generally [in] my life, I’m really excited,” she told PEOPLE Tuesday at night two of The Voice‘s live playoffs. “I feel so grateful for everything.”

The Used to Love You singer – who’s currently dating her fellow coach Blake Shelton – mused that signing on to the show helped her get back into a positive space.

“I’m in a really good place,” she said. “Just being on the show the first time actually kind of opened that channel up a little bit because [you’re] doing something you’ve never done before.”

Adam Levine, who told PEOPLE that Stefani is “all pumped right now” in life, was the one who gave her the last push to sign onto the show.

“Adam’s the one that actually emailed me and gave me the heads up, [like] ‘Look, I heard the rumors. You gotta do it!’ I’m really grateful that he did that and I’m really grateful I got to do the show.”

When it came to signing on for a second season, “I was like, on my hands and knees begging them to let me come back,” she said.
