Blake Shelton, ‘Drink On It’

Blake Shelton tapped into his softer side with the chart-topping 'God Gave Me You,' but following that soulful song is a tune that taps into the side of the country superstar we see a little more often. 'Drink On It' was released to country radio this week, a toe-tapping, mid-tempo tune about two things 'The Voice' coach loves: flirting and drinking.

"Hey girl / Hey, where ya goin'? / Come back and sit back down / You look too good to be heading home so early now," Blake sings in the song's opening lines.

Written by Jon Randall, Jessi Alexander and Rodney Clawson, 'Drink On It' is the third single from Blake's Grammy-nominated 'Red River Blue' album. "It got right down to the wire," Blake recalls of recording the tune. "It was the last song we ended up cutting for the album and ironically, it's one of my top three or four favorites on the record. It's a sexy song that I haven't heard anything quite like."
