Blake Shelton talks about wedding, upcoming show

Just in time for Friday tonight's concert at the Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa on Friday night, country superstar and Oklahoma native Blake Shelton took a respite from his self-imposed "media blackout" to answer a few questions for the Tulsa World.

He'll wed Miranda Lambert next week, and has taken a break from media interviews for the month. However, he agreed to answer a few questions for the Tulsa World via email:

 1. What's the funniest (or least expected) thing to happen to you while planning for your pending nuptials to Miranda?

A: There were a couple times when Miranda asked me to look at a website to help pick out things like dishes and so I would go on the site and pick out the ugliest looking thing I could find and show it to her. She'd look at it and say, 'Oh, you know what, I'll just do it.' So after that I wasn't asked to help out with any more wedding stuff.

 2. What song do you most relate to, lyrically? It can be any song. ... And why?

A: "Family Tradition" by Hank Williams Jr. because it is a song about how the country industry was disappointed with the things that he does.

 3. What's the most important thing you'd like people to know about your upcoming Tornado Relief Concert here in Oklahoma with Reba?

A: That even though this is for a good cause, it is still going to be the party of the century!
