Life impacts art on new Shelton album

Oklahoma country singer Blake Shelton said the title of his new album, "Pure BS," does not stand for ... well, you know what.

Rather, he said, it's a record that genuinely reflects his life at this point in time.

"I was going through a divorce and turned 30 years old," Shelton said, "and I finally started living the life that I'd been singing about for so long ... A lot of country stereotypes. A lot of drinking. A lot of breaking up, heartache ...

"This album is more me than anything else I've done, which is kind of where we came up with 'Pure BS.'"

The album's closing track, "The Last Country Song," finds Shelton whooping it up with two of his idols, George Jones and John Anderson.
