Gwen Stefani

Date: Thursday 19 May

Destination: AmFar’s Cinema Against AIDS Charity Gala

2pm “My husband Gavin Rossdale and I arrived in Cannes about ten days ago. Tonight, I’m wearing a dress by my label Lamb and I’m going to auction it to raise money for AIDs research.”

3pm “I ordered a giant mille-feuille for our nanny’s birthday and it’s heaven. Luckily, my dress stretches!”

4pm “I haven’t made up my mind about my make-up, but I don’t think I’m going to wear a red lip, so people will be shocked! I dyed my hair with L’Oreal Paris’s Recital Preference the day before we came to Cannes, so my colour looks fresh.”

5pm “I love the process of getting ready. My make-up artist is really fast, so my smoky eye [using Color Appeal Eyeshadow] doesn’t take long.”

6.30pm “I’m not a huge drinker, but I have a drink of wine. Gavin goes home tomorrow, so tonight will be big. It’s time to head to the Amfar party, we don’t have far to go, as it’s in our hotel, the du Cap-Eden-Roc.”

8pm “After working long days, it feels good to be at the party. I start to worry that my dress might not go for much - maybe I should take it off onstage, or I could buy it back off myself!”

11pm “It’s so fun seeing my peers and the people I've met over the years, and the party is for such a great cause. It’s late, but there’s no time to rest in Cannes. Thank goodness I have such a great hair and make-up team around me being a L’Oreal Paris spokesmodel, I also have access to endless products. My feet are hurting from being in heels all night, but luckily, I’ve packed some comfortable flip-flops for when I get back to my room.
