Eleven country albums and 14 seasons of The Voice might have made Blake Shelton a household name. But it’s his love for Oklahoma that has made him — to quote one of his hits — backwoods legit.

Shelton, who earned the CMA’s Entertainer of the Year honor in 2012, and has been named Male Vocalist of the Year five times, and holds six winning seasons as a coach on The Voice, thanked the songwriters for their work.

Blake Shelton went bar-hopping Tuesday — he bounced from his new Ole Red restaurant and bar in Gatlinburg, which is still under construction, to his Nashville location on Lower Broadway, which he officially opened in June.

Oklahoma native Blake Shelton’s 11th studio album, Texoma Shore, was recorded at his home studio on the banks of Lake Texoma, a destination on the Texas/Oklahoma border where Blake vacationed with his parents as a young child.
