The trash-talking pals host the 50th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards

This is your third time cohosting the show. What do you have planned?

Luke: It’ll be an exciting night with a lot of big names. Well pay homage to many of the artists who paved the way for us.

Blake: Yeah, for the 50th anniversary it’s a bigger deal than just us telling jokes.

Any nerves? How do you calm them?

Luke: Blake and I have an area back-stage where we keep some spirits. Before the show, well take a shot or two.

Blake: And then we’ll take another shot of something after the show too!

Is there anyone you won’t joke about?

Luke: Jason Aldean is so sensitive. If I tell jokes about him, he calls me up and cries.

Blake: And if you joke about Taylor Swift, her fans get really pissed off at you!

What’ll be the best joke of the night?

Luke: When Blake and I perform.

Blake: Maybe well even make out on the stage. It’ll go viral, in more ways than one.

Luke: You mean virus. There’s no telling what I’d catch from you.

You’re close friends. What’s the best thing about each other?

Blake: The best thing is Luke’s smile, but he loses his charm when he starts to talk!

Luke: The best thing about Blake is that at different points of his life, his butt has been bigger than his belly. At other times his belly is bigger than his butt.

Ouch! If that’s the best thing, then what’s the worst thing?

Blake: His personality. Fame lets you be who you really are, and that’s not a good thing with Luke.

Luke: The worst thing about Blake is that he refuses to dye the sides of his hair.

Blake: I love you, Luke.

Luke: I love you, Blake.

Blake: Aw, shut up.
