Blake Shelton answers your questions

In our March 8 cover story on Blake Shelton, and on countryweekly.com, we asked you to submit questions that you wanted Blake to answer. While we couldn’t get to all of them, the country star was able to tackle - with his trademark sense of humor, no less - a few of your questions about his relationship with Miranda Lambert (there were many questions about that), plus others about his hunting prowess, why he became a singer and more.

1. How did you and Miranda meet? - Bertha

BS: We met at the CMT100 Greatest Duets concert in June 2005.

2. What has been your favorite song you have ever recorded? - Kristin

BS: “Ol’ Red."

3. What actual educational/learning subject did you get the best grades in during elementary/high school - Lindsey

BS: My best subject was art.

4. Where did you catch your largest bluegill? - Beavis

BS: In George Johnson’s pond behind my house growing up.

5. Blake, I love your music and you. I also love Miranda. Would the two of you please consider doing a tour together? Also, would you two consider redoing the [David Frizzell/Shelly West duet] "You're the Reason God Made Oklahoma"? Colleen

BS: Colleen, we have done all of that. Sorry you missed it.

6. What did you do with 302 pocket knives you ordered on New Year's Eve a few years ago? - Tina

BS: They’ re still in a box on a shelf in my garage. Want one?

7.    Besides having a passion for music, what drove you to become a singer? - Jessica

BS: Girls. Duh!

8. If you could record a duet with any noncountry artist of your choice, who would it be and why? - Jessica S.

BS: Zooey Deschanel. Have you seen her?

9. Who is your biggest influence in country music? - Ran

BS: Earl Thomas Conley.

10. Blake, loved your music and voice from the start. We have lots of deer here in Wisconsin. What is the biggest rack on a deer you have ever gotten? - Judy Johnson

BS: Well, Judy, I got a 171-inch whitetail in West Texas. Thanks for asking.

11. My husband loves to hunt and he would like to know what kind of arrows you use. - Kristin S.

BS: Easton.

12. Have you considered having your tattoo fixed to make the "ladybugs" look more like deer hooves)? - Paula S.

BS: No, because I don't take myself that seriously.

13. Everyone knows you and Miranda are a couple. Why can't you or Miranda be interviewed without the other being mentioned? - Bettye

BS: Your question answered itself.

14. I was wondering if you ever thought about acting in a movie or on a TV show. You are very good- looking, that's for sure. Sandy

BS: No, never really thought about it, but thanks to your question, now I am.
