CURRY: Blake Shelton. We're back with more of his music in just a moment. This is TODAY on NBC.

***

CURRY: Blake Shelton has been cranking out number one hits ever since he broke onto the scene in 2001. And now he's at it again with a new album, it's called "Red River Blue."

Blake Shelton, good morning to you.

Mr. BLAKE SHELTON: Good morning to you.

CURRY: Could this be your best year ever?

Mr. SHELTON: It's not. It is my best year ever. It's not could it be. This is--it's been amazing. From, you know, "Honey Bee" doing as well as it is and "The Voice" and then getting married and everything. I don't know. What do you want me to say? I don't know.

CURRY: Well, no, of those three, which has been the biggest thing? I mean, "Honey Bee" is your...

Mr. SHELTON: Oh, getting married...

CURRY: Getting married.

Mr. SHELTON: ...is by far the most crucial, pivotal, best thing that's ever happened to me.

CURRY: Well said. Married to Miranda Lambert, who by the way happens to be performing this morning at another morning show.

Mr. SHELTON: Really?

CURRY: Yeah. Some other one.

Mr. SHELTON: The Weather Channel or something.

CURRY: Something like that.

Mr. SHELTON: Cool. That's cool.

CURRY: I understand you guys have been involved in a Twitter love fest this morning.

Mr. SHELTON: Yeah. We have.

CURRY: She's...

Mr. SHELTON: We've been popping off back and forth. And she says she wins because she has boobs. And that always--and she has a point, you know. You can't argue with that, so.

CURRY: She does have her point. I know, but you did argue with her because she said, she just tweeted, "They won't be watching you, they'll be watching me." What's your response to that?

Mr. SHELTON: Well, she underestimates my moobs.

CURRY: OK. All right. Well...

Mr. SHELTON: Come on, say something. Say something.

CURRY: Your moobs? OK. I don't want to watch...

Mr. SHELTON: I just wanted to hear you say it back.

CURRY: OK. Yeah. OK. I'm going to say it back. So your moobs. OK. So I'm just going to say that you're now going to sing the song that everybody's been waiting for. In fact, the song is "Honey Bee."

Mr. SHELTON: Yeah.

CURRY: We love that song.

Mr. SHELTON: Good, good.

CURRY: So ladies and gentlemen...

Mr. SHELTON: I love it, too, man, this has been a long time.

CURRY: You do? Now what is the origin? Tell me about writing "Honey Bee."

Mr. SHELTON: Actually, Rhett Akins and Ben Hayslip wrote this song and sent it over to me. And I don't know, it was one of those things when I heard it, it just sounded like my life at the time and didn't really know it would turn into what it's turned into, which I'm thankful for.

CURRY: Your number--the newest--it's the first one that's ever gone platinum for you, is that right?

Mr. SHELTON: That's the first platinum single I've ever had. Yeah.

CURRY: And also, I understand that it's been sold over one million downloads in just 10 weeks, so congratulations to you.

Mr. SHELTON: Thank you.

CURRY: Ladies and gentlemen, "Honey Bee."

(Blake Shelton performs)

CURRY: Blake Shelton showing us his moobs. And he'll be right back with one more song a little bit later, but first, a check of your local news.
