Shelton open to returning to sitcom 'Malibu Country'
Don't look now but Blake Shelton just might make another appearance on "Malibu Country."
The Oklahoman, who played baby brother to fellow Oklahoman Reba McEntire's character on Friday's episode, told wincountry.com that it would be fun to return to the set of the situation comedy.
"It was amazing to just see that world and see how they work," said the country music star and "The Voice" coach. "It's a lot of just goofing off but you've got to be a good goofer to do it right and they've got the right ones."
Shelton, who shares a ranch near Tishomingo with his wife, country music star Miranda Lambert, told the website the only problem would be the time it takes to film an episode.
"It ties you into L.A. for a week," said Shelton, the CMA Entertainer of the Year. "You do a read-through on a Friday, and then you rehearse Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and film it Thursday, and you're right back doing the next show the next day."
But don't look for Shelton to star in his own sitcom, he said. He already spends a lot of time working on "The Voice."
"The Voice" returns March 25 on NBC with new judges Shakira and Usher replacing Christina Aguilera and CeeLo Green.
