Blake Shelton announces new single 'Came Here To Forget'

Music City heavyweight and The Voice mainstay Blake Shelton will release his first new music in 18 months next week. “Came Here To Forget,” the first single off his anticipated 12th full-length is scheduled to release Tuesday, March 8.

The singer promises the tune, written by Craig Wiseman and Deric Ruttan, is one of his most intimate yet, according to a release. “[The song is] an intimate snapshot of a couple’s encounter at a bar,” he says. “I’ve had a lot of music over the years but I don’t think I’ve ever had a song that’s such a direct look into my life. That’s why I’m so excited about this particular song.”
