Blake’s new love song
Shelton's romance with Gwen Stefani is on the record!
Even after eight months together, Blake Shelton gets nervous around Gwen Stefani. "She's Gwen Stefani," he marvels to Us, "the coolest girl in the world!" Cowriting "Go Ahead and Break My Heart" last October was "intimidating," admits the 39-year-old country star. "I'm insecure about my writing." Their track about - no surprise here! - budding love nearly didn't make his 12th studio album, If I'm Honest (out May 20). "We were like, 'What will people think?' I decided I don't give a s-t. I love this song."
Fittingly, the couple planned to debut the tune May 9 on The Voice, where they have flirted among the swivel chairs. Meanwhile, Team Blake is plotting its next move against the mentees of Adam Levine, Pharrell Williams and Christina Aguilera on the NBC singoff (Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 P.M.). "I'm pumped!" he brags. "We're going to have way better performances."
