Blake Shelton has fun with his ‘sexy’ title

Country singer Blake Shelton started laughing when he learned that he was named in this year's Sexiest Men Alive list by People magazine.

"It's one thing if somebody tells me, 'Hey man, I like your record,' or, 'That video was good.' It's another one if they say, 'I really like your eyes,' " he said. "That's a little tougher one to swallow, even though you appreciate it. It's hard to know how to react."

"What I did was I dumped Miranda," Blake joked about his girlfriend, country singer Miranda Lambert, whose latest album is called Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. "I've got a call into (actress) Megan Fox right now. She hasn't called me back, so I'm regretting dumping Miranda.

"If I dumped Miranda, I would be dead right now; I wouldn't be talking to you."

Miranda also laughed when she heard the news, but Blake says she's proud. "She got upset with me last night because I said, 'From now on, when I refer to Brad and George, it's not Brad Paisley and George Strait; it's Brad Pitt and George Clooney.' She threw up in her mouth a little bit when I said that."

The sex symbol released his new album, Startin' Fires, on Tuesday. "I can only hope that it causes people go to buy my album," he said. "That is my hope because that is still what I do."
