Big Hat, Some Cattle

New-country crooner Blake Shelton saw his debut single, "Austin," zip to No. 1 on Billboard's country singles chart, but chances are the Oklahoma native won't let success go to his head. "Where I come from, everyone wears Wranglers, boots, a hat and long hair," Shelton says. "It's probably just stubbornness, but I don't want to change myself." Shelton moved to Nashville at 17 to make it in the country business, and the four songs he co-wrote on the album show he is on his way. Shelton plays the Westerner Club, 3360 S. Redwood Road, tonight at 10. Tickets are $15 at the door.
